Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) - at 3,000m above sea level - Perched dramatically on a cliffside at 3,000m above sea level, this is Bhutan's most iconic landmark. Hike through pine forests to reach the monastery, and soak in the spiritual atmosphere and breathtaking views.
Kyichu Lhakhang: One of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century. Walk around the peaceful prayer wheels and admire its serene atmosphere.
Preparation for the Trek: Take the evening to relax and pack for the trek. Ensure you're well-rested and acclimatized.
Over night at Paro
Start the trek from Shana, leaving Paro behind.
Trail Details: Start from Shana and trek approximately 22 km (7-8 hours). Walk through dense forests of blue pine and oak, and follow the Paro River.
Highlights: Enjoy the serene wilderness, bird songs, and glimpses of native wildlife. Admire Bhutan's untouched natural beauty.
Overnight: Camp at Thangthakha (3,610m), amidst tranquil forests.
Trail Details: Trek approximately 19 km (6-7 hours). Pass through stunning alpine meadows with colorful wildflowers (season-dependent).
Highlights: As you approach Jangothang, witness the first breathtaking views of Mount Jomolhari (7,314m). This is a spiritual and visual treat.
Overnight: Camp at Jomolhari Base Camp (4,080m), with unparalleled views of the mighty peak.
The rest day provides an opportunity to explore the pristine landscape of Jangothang. On the upper slopes of this valley, it is common to see blue sheeps grazing the mountain side.
Jangothang also a rest day for acclimatization

Explore the Tshophu Lakes, twin glacial lakes with crystal-clear waters.
Take short hikes around the camp to observe blue sheep grazing on the mountainside.
Enjoy photography or simply relax amidst the awe-inspiring landscapes.
Overnight: Another night at Jangothang.
Trail Details: Begin the descent from Jangothang, retracing your steps to Thangthakha approximately for 19 km (6-7 hours).
Highlights: Descend through the landscapes you trekked earlier, with opportunities to spot wildlife or capture views you may have missed.
Overnight: Camp at Thangthakha (3,610m).
Trail Details: Complete the trek (22 km, 7-8 hours) and arrive back at Shana.
Transfer: Travel by vehicle to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital city.
Evening: Check in at a comfortable hotel, indulge in local cuisine, and relax after an adventurous trek.
Overnight: Stay in Thimphu.

Drive to Paro International Airport
